About Us

Langs Quality Furniture trading as Breakfastbarstools.co.uk has been supplying furniture for 11 years – Specialising in supplying Breakfast Bar Stools, in response to the new trend of eating meals in the kitchen. The company website is www.breakfastbarstools.co.uk  – say what’s in the tin.

The dining room has become almost redundant now except perhaps for high days and holidays, like Christmas, when the whole family gather around the dining room table.

In most homes the vast majority of meals are eaten in the kitchen. Also everyone seems to congregate in the kitchen at a party. Many people spend a great deal of money getting a stylish kitchen fitted; quite often there is an open plan layout with a dining table and chairs as well.

Breakfast Bar Stools has responded to this trend by offering an extensive range of high quality breakfast bar stools which will compliment the kitchen. This includes Gas Lift, adjustable Height Stools: fixed height stools at different heights; Steel Frame Stools; Wood Frame Stools; Plastic & polycarbonate stools; Upholstered seats; Wood seats - you name it,  Breakfast Bar Stools probably have something like it.

The company is run and managed by Graeme Lang. Graeme has more than 30 years of experience in the furniture trade. He obviously has furniture in his blood, because his great-grandfather founded a retail furniture store in Glasgow called “Bows of High Street”. This store prospered and flourish for many years. In particular Bows specialised in a range of economy furniture in the years after the Second World War when times were hard and it was difficult to obtain any furniture. Now Graeme is responding to the new trends in living.

Graeme Lang believes in a hands-on approach to his business. He is involved in the sales and marketing side, handling much of the work editing and developing the website and search engine optimisation, etc. However he also likes to work in the warehouse packing and shipping out the orders. He has an intimate knowledge of most products supplied by the company. He tells me that he must have assembled at least 100 Casanova stools (the Casanova Gas Lift stool has been one of the big sellers for the last 6 or 8 years.) and he has handled, assembled and dismantled most of the other stools in the range also. So if customers phone with any queries regarding the products he can normally helped them from personal experience.

Many Internet-based companies offer a selection of breakfast bar stools in their range. However they are also offering anything from Jacuzzis to lawnmowers, scaffolding to ladies handbags. One minute the sales staff are talking about a breakfast bar stool and the next they are talking about a pair of shoes. They have little or no knowledge about the products and they have no personal experience of assembling the products. Nor are they interested in the customer. They just want their wages and out of the door at 5:00 p.m.

There is one large retailer – a household name – which sells a vast range of products online and in High Street stores. They show a range of stools but they don’t even advise the seat height, which is a crucial piece of information. At least one of the stools is too high for a standard breakfast bar. Several customers of breakfastbarstools have ordered from this other company in the past and then they have discovered that they were knocking their knees on the worktop, when they sat on the stools. After that bitter experience, they have approached Breakfastbarstools, as the specialists, and they have obtained suitable stools for their needs.

Langs Quality Furniture only supply furniture. They specialise in breakfast bar stools and they also supply some chairs & tables; they know their niche market intimately and they can give good sensible advice to assist you in choosing the correct products for your requirements. It makes sense to deal with a specialist who knows about the products.

Graeme has chosen a selection of quality breakfast bar stools which he is proud to sell. He would be happy to add your name to the list of satisfied customers, if you’re not included already.
