The Center Stool has been discontinued by Peressini.  This means that we cannot supply any brand new replacement seats. However, we can re-cover your existing seats to give them a new lease of life.

Unfortunately, it is not cost effective to cover the stools with Real Leather, because we do not hold leather in stock.  The tanners will only sell full hides. As a result, if we are re-covering, say, two stools, we would still need to buy a full hide. Then we would need to charge for re-covering the two stools, plus the complete cost of the hide.

However, we have a solution to the problem.  We can supply a VERY hard-wearing faux leather called Aston.  It has a Martindale rub test of One Million rubs, which is huge. To explain, the Martindale rub test is a test to show the wear resistance of a fabric. A mechanical "shoe" scuffs the fabric repeatedly. The number of scuffs it survives before being worn out is called the Martindale Rating. It is purely a comparative test. If Fabric A survives 20,000 rubs, then it is more hard-wearing than Fabric B, which survived 10,000 rubs  

Any fabric which survives 15,000 rubs is considered suitable for contract use. So it can be used on chairs or bar stools that are located in commercial premises with high usage. As explained already, Aston has a rub test of 1 Million rubs. So it is very hard-wearing, and it looks very similar to leather.

There are 40 colours in the Aston Faux Leather range, so you have a wide choice of colours. We have an Aston Sample Card which we can post to you if you give us your full postal address. We do request that you return the sample card as soon as you have selected the colour you want.

As a result of the above, we offer to recover your existing Center seats using Aston Faux Leather. The entire seat can be separated from the heavy weighted base (4 Bolts slackened by an Allen Key). Then the back can be separated from the seat (2 Bolts slackened with a spanner). Now the seat and back are more compact to fit in a box. Next, we ask you to find one or more suitable boxes to pack all of your seats and backs. Once they are ready for collection, we arrange a suitable day to send a courier to uplift the box(es). After the seats and backs are recovered, we will return them to you on a day which is suitable for you. So you only lose the use of your stools for a short time. When they are returned, your stools will have a new lease of life, and you should have many more years of use from them.
